Why I build instead of advise
The best training I ever got for building software was watching people not use it.
I’ve spent years in B2B sales and enablement. Not the obvious background for someone who now writes code and builds tools. And it’s the main reason any of it works. In enablement, you watch capable people lose hours to systems and processes designed by someone who never had to use them. You learn to spot friction fast. And you learn the fix is almost never a better dashboard.
Most of what I build starts the same way. Someone describes a process that lives in a binder, a group text, and a spreadsheet that three people maintain differently. It works, mostly, because a few experienced people carry it in their heads. Then somebody leaves, or the team doubles, and it stops working.
Off-the-shelf software usually doesn't fit that shape. It is built for a much larger organization, or priced per seat in a way that punishes having more volunteers, or it solves eighty percent of the problem and leaves the important twenty.
So I build what fits.
What I actually do
Internal operations apps
Duties, procedures, checklists, rosters and reports — on a phone, behind a login, working whether or not there is signal in the building.
Workflow cleanup and automation
Missed follow-ups, duplicate data entry, a spreadsheet that three people maintain differently. I find the friction and remove it.
AI tools and training your team will use
Custom GPT tools built around how your organization actually talks, plus training people, are still being used a month later.
I also run a local meetup for operators, sales leaders, and builders who want practical AI — no code, no hype, just systems that make the work lighter.
